Henry, one more question in the active life of a trader...

This little tempest about monetary policy arcana continues by PM.

So:

Is there a 'repo market'

Is it different from the 'federal funds market'.

Is the fed a player in both? That is, if there are two separate markets.

What are the size of these markets relative to one another? Are there quotes, volumes etc available?

Yeah, I know, this is pretty ignorant. Aiyez pitie.

Met two bond traders last year who helped me out of a great deal of ignorance, when I said, 'Guys, could you tell me exactly where is the bond market. Was advised to read Liar's poker. Ajua!.
Guess I'm the wrong gender for Salomon's trading floor although an endocrinologist pal said she crocheted a beard for herself during her residency for departmental parties and offered to crochet for me...well!#@?>!
