David, yeah, actually I have quite a bit more VLSI than LSI, though I intend to hold the LSI position. Very simplistically, to me VLSI should trade at 2/3 of LSI's price, based on expected earnings for the two, three years out (about $3 for LSI, about $2 for VLSI).. Also, I get the feeling that VLSI has a better chance of suprising on the upside because folks who understand some of their capabilities in support of telecom have so advised me.
Current price for VLSI should be around 16, on a value basis...just as a "This is mho"..
