My guess on Intel's response to the K6-3-450: By mid-April, I expect to see Intel selling the "mobile" Dixon chips, with 256K integrated L2 cache, in the Socket 370 format running at clock speeds up to 500 MHz at 2 volts. The only reason they're starting this chip as a notebook chip is so they can tweak it to higher yields at relatively low volumes.

I suspect that the Dixon will be the "high end Celeron" -- 450 and 500 MHz with 100 MHz bus.

Two pitfalls for Intel -
1. not being able to get it up to 500 MHz (366 is the max in the mobile version)
2. not being able to achieve high yields due to its huge die size
