massacre? Are talking about some guy going nutso and shooting a few brokers in New York because they liquidated his internet stocks before they had a real good chance to bounce back? <VBG>

When? Hmmmmm ...

What will be the signs preceding the massa-cree? Hmmmm ...

1) Young execs bored with just making money pursue other endeavors: e.g. the search for extraterrstrial life.

2) Precious metals will make new multi-year lows.

3) US will stop arguing with other countries to open up their markets.

4) US will begin to penalize 'low-cost' foreign producers for dumping their cheap products in the US.

5) Markets will begin to ignore any and all military skirmishes around the globe.

6) PC mfrs will begin to offer internet service and focus on providing content of interest.

7) MSFT will accelerate its move into various media other than SW.

8) PCs will no longer be sold for profit -- they will be sold at cost to get subscribers to sign up for a service.

9) Telcos will actually be subjected to legitimate competition for the first time and this will set off a wave of litigation unparalleled to date.

10) Bill Clinton will admit that he has had another affair since Monica and tell everyone he isn't sorry at all.
