I tried to make it clear that I was not trying to imply it was hype of the order of what had happened in previous years with Naxos. The hype label got attached because that was a term everyone is comfortable using.

My point was that in a perfect world such prelimanary information would not get published. And I am not implying any sinister motives on Bob Gardner's part. But it does appear the information was released at the time it was to help fend of the Johnson/Lettites, a very noble cause in my opinion. But there was a motivation in the release of the information, it appears, and it had the desired impact. In the strictest definition of the term that is hype.

As far as your comparison to Merck announcing they are applying for an NDA, I repeat it is a matter of context. Investors know what an NDA and what type of process it implies. They can make a more informed judgement on what the news means. How does one acquire a context for judging 'results that suggest success'?
