Tidbits of useful info. Excerpts from an article that appeared in the January 23 Financial Times: "China Eastern, China's most profitable airline, is heading a queue of Chinese companies planning international offerings in 1997. Its dual listing in Hong Kong and New York is shcedule for early in February.... Passenger demand has been growing nationally at roughly double the rate of economic growth.... China Southern, the country's second largest airline, and Hainan Airlines, are both taxi-ing towards the market, as is China North West. Success for their eastern rivals will speed tem on the way." Does anybody know what percentage of Hainan PHXS will indirectly come to own? Robert
