You bet, "...I guess a the end the only thing which counts is the installed GSM base. The clear leaders are ERICY and Nokia. No one of the existing GSM providers will change there suppliers. They will back up there current suppliers..."

One thing I found as a salesman is that customers will move heaven and earth to back up their suppliers - even if they have been sold a product which leads them to a dead end and there has been misrepresentation. Loyalty is easy when times are good. It's when you have been lied to and things are crashing around your ears when loyalty counts.

Customers just love times like that because they can demonstrate loyalty to suppliers. There is NO WAY that GSM users will change their suppliers. They will use all their resources to back the supplier up. They'll pay 10% more and use pirated VW40 with a unique and interesting chip rate with unique synchronization techniques. NO WAY will they buy any dodgy cdmaOne or cdma2000 stuff from those crooks in San Diego who have got the biggest fraud in human history underway.

GSM is so far ahead that CDMA can't possibly catch up. Sure, they have used Chicken Wire and Bubble Gum to cobble together some huge 100g handsets with 10 hours talk time, days and days and days of standby and WWeb functions, but they will probably all fail in no time. Already there have been connectors go wrong, plastic crack, and belt clips not work.

GSM Rules!

Vodafone will right now be writing out checks for billions and billions of $$$ for GSM and VW40 equipment. They'll be hiring demolition crews to rip out all that cdmaOne stuff which AirTouch foolishly bought. The Ericy reps will be phoning HQ demanding their GSM and VW40 orders get priority treatment.

Go Ericy!!!
