Daniel: I had no trouble shorting with e*trade at about 3:30 pm EST. In fact, i got 1000 shares at $12 15/16 and I got a confirmation on-line in only about 30 seconds - very fast for them! I am wondering about Schwab - I thought I saw another post saying that Schwab would not let you short a non-marginable security and that IMON is on Schwab's list that cannot be margined - you might want to check with them.
