Softbank, Broadcast.com to form Japanese venture
TOKYO, Jan 25 (Reuters) - Softbank Corp said on Monday it had agreed with Broadcast.com Inc to form a Japanese joint venture.
The joint venture, tentatively named Broadcast.com Co Ltd, in Tokyo, capitalised at 550 million yen, will be owned 50 percent by Softbank, 40 percent by Broadcast.com, a Dallas-based online broadcaster of sports, news and music, and 10 percent by Yahoo Inc , Softbank said.

Softbank President Masayoshi Son will head the venture, it said.

The venture will provide on-demand service for video and audio information in Japan through the Internet, similar to services of Broadcast.com of the United States, it said.
