It depends on the site that you need. Web sites come in all sizes with varying features. Best bet is to usually set a budget figure and see what you can get. Keep in mind a web site needs to be continually refreshed to keep people coming back. So a good web developer will suggest a starting point to create your initial Internet presence and then monthly or quarterly upgrades. If your website has content that changes frequently ask the developer about database features with client editing capabilities. It may cost more upfront but it will be less costly than hiring someone to do frequent edits to the site. Typically the upfront development of a client editing back-end will pay for itself in 6-9 months.
