Thanks Tom! Glad to hear there was a good turn out for the Inv. Conf.
Thanks for the replies-- Rotary Core drill, 2 week program, 2-3 weeks for "results." I guess these would be microprobe results. I wonder if Monopros would offer visual or quick petrological to the public, within a week or two, before all lab testing is complete (microprobe and then CF).
Anyway, let's keep our fingies crossed. I know Monopros has already done a fair bit of work in the field.
Here is a quick refresher, from a few past Troymin NR's: ----------------- June 18, 1998 Monopros, as operator of the joint venture, has commenced a detailed sediment sampling program, concentrating at this time on the Bison Lake and Trout Mountain blocks which are more proximal to the known kimberlites. Ground geophysical surveys are also under way over a number of priority high resolution airborne magnetic anomalies to define prospective targets for a summer drilling program. --------- Aug.13, 1998 Mr. Tom Boychuk reports Buffalo Hills Diamond Prospect, Alberta Monopros Limited has completed initial ground checking of magnetic anomalies, conducted sediment sampling over all of the claim blocks, and started drift thickness and glacial geology studies over the area. To date, none of the high priority airborne mag anomalies have been eliminated by this work. A detailed follow-up geophysical program using the new high sense helicopter DiaMag system, rather than ground surveys, is now under way to further define and evaluate these prospective anomalies. Sediment sampling has included reconnaissance fences across the properties and down ice sampling of geophysical anomalies. About 500 samples have been collected, of which 145 are being processed and sorted for kimberlite indicator minerals at Monopros facilities in Canada, while the balance will be processed here and sorted in South Africa. Interpretation of the detailed geophysical surveys and initial sample results are expected by month end, at which time targets will be prioritized for the drill program. Subject to positive geophysical results, drilling operations are expected to commence on the drier accessible targets this fall, with a follow-up winter program on the wetter less accessible targets after freeze-up. ----------- Nov.24, 1998 Mr. Jack McCleary reviews the company Buffalo Hills Diamond Prospect, Alberta Monopros may earn a 51 per cent interest in Troymin's 100 per cent owned one million acres by incurring total expenditures of $5.5-million by February 2002 including $0.5-million by February 1999. Pursuant to this option agreement a summer program of geochemical sampling and mapping was completed in late August. Detailed helicopter surveys were also flown over 23 anomalies which were selected as high priority from over 300 anomalies mapped from an airborne survey. Final results from this work are expected shortly at which time Monopros will present its plans for a winter exploration program. ------------ Jan.22, 1999 Mr. Tom Boychuk reports Troymin Resources has been informed by Monopros Limited, a wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary of De Beers, the world's leading diamond producer, that Monopros will be starting an exploration drilling program on Jan. 25, 1999 at Buffalo Hills. Phase I of the program will consist of four targets, one on the Muskwa block and three on the Bison block. Followup drilling will be planned according to results obtained in the first phase. Monopros, as operator of the joint venture, has advised Troymin that a five-person crew has been mobilized to Peace River to commence a drilling program. The program will take approximately two weeks. Results will be available about two weeks thereafter. ------------------
