I don't sell covered calls on my core holdings, period. You could purchase some out of money puts to cushion against any possible short-term decline. (That's what the professionals do, I am told).

PS: The near-term calls fetch virtually peanuts, not worth the risk of having your premium, high=quality stocks (such as INTC) called away.
