Not an issue. We looked up the contract and it is Micron Electronics. This is a ISP server that is under warranty. They have told us all sorts of stuff. The motherboard is on backorder. They no longer carry the mother board. Etc. Etc. Etc. When I say we, they have told this to me, my manager, and even my sales manager. All of us have called. It is a desperate situation. We do not want to bring in the lawyers, but we cannot even get through to a senior manager, regardless of the fact that we have called, threatened, and probably even cried. I have never dealt with such jerks. And I am not afraid of telling all this because they have even sent us faxes telling us they they would ship, but nothing. NOTHING. Today, we went down and bought a new server, even though the Micron server was still under warranty. They admit this. But as they linger on, my personnel are under the gun from our own ISP subscribers who cannot get on line, and who at this very moment are probably changing ISPs. This company is unresponsive, at least to us. They have repeatedly lied about delivery, which I can prove. And yes, I am one mad customer. The point being is that I doubt really whether I am the only one.
Folks, this isn't a situation of them telling us that they cannot ship. The worst part is that they have told us again and again that they would ship, then did not. If we knew that they could not deliver, we would have gone down a week ago and bought the new server but that did not happen. We were assured we would get our warranty parts, but did not, time and time again. |
