NORTHERN LIGHT IS NOW THE LARGEST SEARCH ENGINE DATABASE ON THE WEB
Northern Light Surpasses 120 Million Web Pages Indexed
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Northern Light Technology LLC, ( nlsearch.com ), the developer of the world's first research engine, today announced it has reached and surpassed a major milestone with over 120 million Web pages indexed in its database. Not only has Northern Light broken through the 100 million Web pages barrier, but it is also now acknowledged as the largest search engine database on the Web. Noted Internet industry observer, Greg Notess, sited Northern Light as having the largest search engine database as of January 5, 1999 (see Search Engine Showdown, notess.com ). In December of 1998 with its PC Magazine Editor's Choice Award for

According to Notess, the author of Search Engine Showdown, "Northern Light ranks first in database size, followed by AltaVista and HotBot.
