How about $1,000 (that's ONE thousand dollars) worth of DELL in January of 1990? You figure it's worth today, then shake your head, and ask yourself where your brain was then -- by the way, you can do the same thing with many, many tech stocks.

That $1,000 would have bought something like 10,000 shares (if my drugged eyes can see the chart correctly). There have been 7 (that's SEVEN) splits since then. I don't know if all splits were 1-2, but if they were then: 10,000 - 20,000 - 40,000 - 80,000 - 160,000 - 320,000 - 640,000 - 1,280,000 (that's ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY THOUSAND) SHARES. That's SHARES, not dollars!!!!

I remain,

SOROS (missed the easy money)

ps Have I done something terribly wrong in this quick little figuring? I am on medication right now, so I could be hallucinating.

pps Someone please tell me a stock under $5 that is going to split SEVEN times in the next eight years.
