Had to do it ;)

Buying 2000 shares of MSFT in 1988 at .50ea = $1000

Today, would be:

144,000 shares, valued at $24,696,000
Not bad for $1000 investment,
now we know why Bill is worth tens of billions ;)

BTW: $1000 in IBM would be around 4896 shares= $908,000
