"Conventional" memory refers to the first 684K memory addresses that can be addressed in "real" mode by I386-class processors and relatives (486, Pentium, PII, etc). DOS applications and an unfortunate quantity of Win 95/98 ones stake out claims on this space. No amount of RAM will affect that. Still, I doubt that's the problem here. Sounds like there's a problem in video settings or maybe the DOS driver is mad at the AGP card. Typically, text-mode utilities put up multicolored dialog boxes to prove how sophisticated the programmers are. PQ, as I recall, is no exception, so I'd guess DI isn't either. Is there a DOS MGA200 utility on the CD Rom? Try fiddling with the text-mode settings (80x25 resolution, which is 80 charsx25 rows).
