I don't disagree with your analysis or prognosis - I understand that the .25 micron flash chip is undergoing testing (initial indications positive) but that we won't know more until mid-to-late Feb on results with Siemens.
Re Valence, the financials certaintly have the potential to have the dilution and stock price decline resulting from a floorless .... However, GATE was 12-15 months away from proving their technological breakthrough and I am pretty confident we will see Valence's results well before July. If not, then you (and Larry B) will be proven correct and staying out of the stock will prove to be the better part of valor.
I still look for confirmation in the way of newly announced relationships, or contracts, or sales, etc. in Q1. And unlike GATE, Valence will not, I think, be playing catchup with much better capitalized industry leaders (Altera, Xilinx), who already have market position. (emphasis on the market leader aspect rather than the financials)
P.S. I did manage to make a small bit of $ on my GATE, getting out of a substantial bit of my position at $ 2.00 - but I'm not entirely out and did buy back some in at $ .55 earlier this year.... |
