Gottfried, Paul asked me to update the AMAT price chart - one year at a time. Paul, please let us know if you see something.

I took your AMAT Price 93-99 to 1/26/99 chart utilizing a ruler and prepared a grid drawing in the first of each month (Feb-Dec). All I see, IMO, is what we already appear to know. In 1994, ‘95, and ‘97 AMAT's price appeared to tail off the last of the year. In 1996, ‘98‘ AMAT dropped during Jan.

However, it appears that in 1995, ‘97 and now in 1999 AMAT took off in Jan. IMO, if we follow the same scenario this year we will be peaking out during this up cycle. If the y2k problem does not move the time table we would probably peak during August ‘99.

Your ‘99 chart indicates what we all realize. AMAT has had a tremendous jump this January. The question is, whether AMAT will be at a plateau from Feb-the middle of April before taking off the last of April-August. The market will let us know. I will be posting the DW bull %'s Wednesday.

I am glad I am fully invested at this point because to time AMAT at this period will be additionally difficult.

Just my $.02.

Gottfried, Is it possible to place the months (Feb1-Dec 1) on your AMAT price chart 93-99 so it will be easier for the thread to eye ball the chart with prices.

Picky, Picky, Picky<gg>
