The following information is an excerpt from a lengthy article in the Sudbury Daily Star ( Sudbury's foremost daily newspaper) Tuesday Jan. 26, 1999.

Darnley Bay President Leon LaPrairie addresed the January/99 meeting of the Sudbury Prospectors and Developers Assoc., Jamie Robertson, Falconbridges regional exploration manager for western North America stated " we are looking for another Sudbury". Some highlights of the address were that << this spring, Darley Bay in co-operation with Falconbridge will be conducting EM (electric magnetic) tests to try to determine where the best areas to drill would be. A group of holes accumulating to to a total of 5000 M will be drilled this summer. Robertson says Falconbridge is hoping to see assays from those holes by early fall>>.The article goes on to say << Not only is the Darnley Bay anomaly considered to have potential for extensive mineral deposits, high magnetic properties indicate that some deposits may be as shallow as 700 M from surface. Geophysicists say the gravity from the anomaly is four times stronger than it is in the Sudbury region. Aerial and ground surveys thus far indicate there may be as many as five main zones within the anomaly. Darnley Bay vice-president of exploration, Ian Lawyer says, "We're not looking for one mine, we're looking for 24 mines". La Prairie told the crowd, " If you want to send your grandchildren to university, this is your opportunity".
