C, I brought-up Cendent and Sunbeam to bring elicit apathy in shareholders. I am not drawing their accounting parallels to cisco. Besides, I am no expert in desciphering (sp) balance sheets and earnings statements. I read bothsides of the story and make-up my own mind. Some people who were long CD and SOC before they blew up are very well aware of the problems. But they bought them any away. Their motto then was "it is OK if you cook books, but don't get caught cooking books." But, when they blew up, you see them blaming it all on the companies and sued them. Now Cendent is suing the auditors. "it's all his fault" is name of the game here - nobdy takes responsibility anymore.
Your assertion that cashflow is more important than earnings is well taken. However, my contention is that is the case because we are in a liquidity bubble and even junk stocks go up to the moon, why not cisco? In otherwords, I refuse to give any fundamental justification to cisco's current stock price.
As with this statement of yours:
<<Clinton? C'mon again. The whole thing was orchestrated by a bunch of right-wing loonies who were looking for any excuse to nail the guy. >>
The right wing loonies don't own his private parts with which he seem to think. Nor do they own his tongue with which he so glibly lies. I bring reference to him because most of the CEOs of the high-profile corporate America, with the possible exception of Bill Gates, Jack Welch, are more or less running their businesses like Slick. He tells the public everything what they want to hear, based on polls. So are the Chambers, Gersners of this world.

These are my opinions. You can disagree with them, fine. But, I hope your personal attachment to a particular stock does not could your judgment on people. My personal motto is "have feelings for people, not for inanimate objects, like stocks!"
Good luck and have a good day.
