SCIO UPDATE:

Hi Gang,

The FDA is expected to decide on an approvable letter on Friday. I hate staying in a stock through FDA decisions. In fact I never have. A strategy one might try is to sell at some high today. It should tick into the 10's. To wait till tomorrow is risky. The stock will probably be halted on Thur.

Then await the FDA decision and try to jump back in below 11.5. Sure you may miss out. But if the FDA is as unpredictable as usual it may not be worth the risk. I thought the stock was going to trade up more. The T/A resistance and market sentiment has been less than favorable. Hence a delay or flat out denial would be felt much more at only 10.5 as opposed to $15 where I thought it might trade to.

The Stokes are suggesting another entry point is approaching. However the FDA meeting is coming at the wrong time. I do trust my friends opinion. I don't trust the FDA. They have failed to approve drugs in the past which were believed by many to be a shoe in. My primary investing strategy with Biotech is to avoid the FDA whenever possible. That will not change this time around.

Look at CYPB. Their trials were halted early by the FDA because of the products efficacy. Very positive. They get a 9 to 1 letter of approval. The FDA comes back this week with a delay on approval. Mind you it is only a delay. But the approval should end up being a shoe in. If the FDA delay's SCIO approval ( for minor considerations ) and the stock tanks I will be buying at the bottom on Fri.

PS: These are only insights into my investing strategy. I do not consider these recommendations. I do not have access to certain data nor a deep appreciation of the science. I take a more conservative investing path than many. There are a heck of a lot more holders who would stay put at SCIO through the decision for any number of reasons. I do believe approval is likely. I don't like unnecessary risks.

BEST WISHES
Jeffrey
