The problem states that all planes must be recovered safely,
no "crashes". One minor point is that the carrier is too slow
to move a significant distance during the mission, thus for all
practical purposes it is stationary. If anyone's interested
I can probably understand enough of my friend's solution to
post a rough description of it, though it looked pretty complex.
