OK, lets start from the beginning...

Sorry folks, this will be long!!!

Your response to Sam's post 37198, to which he only stated he would like to see some factual accountability required by SI....

"And also get lunatics to follow you around.
Guess you missed the early days of CompuServe, etc.

Anyone having real info on their profile is being naive IMHO...

First line, lunatics, a fearful word with negitive conotations....
Last line, Anyone, encompassing all whether they actually apply or not.

Next post.

"ROFLMAO!!!

Sue a psuedo-name!!!

You are using AZNT as an example here? ROFLMAO!!!

Really starts out with an open spin??? Nothing further to add..

Then in steps I...

"Street,

Naive = Open, honest, Not living life in fear, Not hiding, Willing to stand behind what they write!

Psuedo-name = Hidden, Fearful, Dishonest, Possibly dangerous, Feel they can write anything from the shadows, No responsibility or accountability!

Yep, give me Naive any day!!!!!

wb

I state my opinion under what I feel is the "CONTEXT" of the previous notes. Not naming anyone, not pointing fingers, just my opinion..

Your comeback to me.

You said it-- not me:

naive or naïve (nä-êv') also naif or naïf (nä-êf') adjective
1. a. Lacking worldliness and sophistication; artless. b. Simple and credulous as a child; ingenuous.
2. Lacking critical ability or analytical insight; not subtle or learned: "this extravagance of metaphors, with its naive bombast" (H.L. Mencken).
3. a. Not previously subjected to experiments: testing naive mice. b. Not having previously taken or received a particular drug: persons naive to marijuana.

noun
One who is artless, credulous, or uncritical.
[French naïve, feminine of naïf, from Old French, natural, native, from Latin nâtìvus, native, rustic, from nâtus, past participle of nâscì, to be born.]
- naive'ly adverb
- naive'ness noun
Synonyms: naive, simple, ingenuous, unsophisticated, natural, unaffected, guileless, artless.

Due to your first line, definately has a personal spin.... But I did not take offense...

So I came back with this post.

Yep,

That's me!!

Simple, Unsophisticated, Uncritical (most of the time), Natural, Open, Honest, Unfearful, Undeceitful.....

You have me pegged!!

One thing that I do find rather funny, when your type has no real comeback......They revert to the dictionary!!!!!!

And your right........."I said IT"

wb

Now the only personal thing I said, was an observation that the dictionary is used quite frequently on this thread..But still a non-point....And I did stand behind what I said.....

Again your comeback...

I thought the dictionary would say it better.

<<That's me!! <<

Obviously.

Most people I talk to on SI know my real name and even have my phone number.

So, what is your point?

The word Obviously, definately a personal putdown....
So, what is your point? Definately frustration...

Sooooo, I come back with..

That's what a dictionary is for, when a person is at a loss for words.

Everyone on SI knows my real name, and those that I choose, have "MY" phone number as well! So in a way we are the same to a point, it's just that "I" fear no man!!

Whats my point? No point, just answering a post on a thread that I have an interest in by investing my money, that I did not agree with.
I have seen over and over again, when a person is honest and open, they are called Naive, so if you need a point, I guess that would be it. You tag what ever definition fits your purpose to a word, I choose to look at all definitions and see which one fits the person..

Have a nice day!!

wb

Just tit for tat, my frustration showing with the use of "You tag".
My first personal usage....

Again your come back...

My point was that you were implying I am being dishonest. I do not like that.

You do not know me from atom.

Just because you are naive does not mean I am.

Now here is where I became totally lost, where did I imply anything about "you". Even with your personal slants to your notes, I did not bite and make it personal back. I even went so far as to try and end the exchange with a friendly "Have a nice day".

wb (still lost)
