DFX, SWE, WHT I thought I'd update three TSE stocks I suggested on July 16th last year, approximately 6 months ago. All three are worth studying. DFX and SWE are solid performers with excellent sales and earnings growth. WHT is purely speculative. Direct Focus (DFX-TSE), is a direct marketing firm that sells home weight training equipment under the Bowflex brand name using television advertising. They recently acquired Nautilus for cash (no dilution) and are beginning to market an innovative new mattress product under the Instant Comfort brand name. This stock has appreciated almost 200 times since January 1996. The price on July 16 was $15.00, it's at 22.90 now, an increase of 53%. bowflex.com Silent Witness (SWE-TSE) designs & manufactures security cameras. They moved from the VSE to the TSE last year and are now planning a move to Nasdaq. They are currently introducing their first non niche-market product an innovative new digital security camera. The price on July 16 was $6.00, it's at $9.95 now, an increase of 66%. silent-witness.com World Heart Corporation (WHT-TSE) has created the Heartsaver Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), and artificial heart assist device that is fully implantable in the chest. The first human implant is scheduled for December of this year.
