COmparing the difference to both Dell and Q497 CPQ actually looks worse than a year ago on all major metrics. ...................CPQQ498..CPQQ497...DELLQ398...DELLQ397 A/R % of Rev.......64.......39........45.........42 Ret. on Inv. Cap. 13.8.....18.8......190........178 (Income taxed at 30%) Ret. on Assets 17.9.....22.2......23.8......28.3 Shares INCREASED 10% for CPQ Shares DECREASED 4.2% for DELL Soon it will be apparent in its stock price how far this company is from dell... EPS was actually DOWN from Q497 if taxed at stable 30% (tax rate in Q497)...So revenues went up about 50% and EPS was down...Hmmm... Makes you see why it mentioned all about revenues in the press release and failed to mention the temporary 18.7% tax rate.
