Partnership to Enable IP Telephony, Videoconferencing and Other Multimedia Solutions Over Multiservice Native ATM and IP+ATM Networks

(Nasdaq: FORE - news), a leading global supplier of multiservice networking solutions, today announced a partnership enabling the two companies' technologies to provide high performance voice and video communication solutions over intelligent multiservice networks capable of delivering reliable voice, video and data services simultaneously.
The partnership will combine RADVision's industry-leading H.323 technologies for video and voice communications over IP (Internet Protocol) networks with FORE's Intelligent Infrastructure(TM), delivering unmatched network robustness and resiliency to provide the highest availability and top performance for networked applications. The resulting interoperability will deliver prioritized services and delivery for business-critical Internet telephony and videoconferencing solutions.
The first phase of the partnership hipl focus on optimizing the performance of applications utilizing RADVision's innovative multimedia protocol software over networks based on asynchronous transfer mode (ATM). FORE's ATM networking products provide optimal Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities and maximized performance, with unparalleled support for IP traffic to enable seamless operation in multiservice networks. For these reasons, new age public carriers and leading Internet Service Providers (ISPs) a)e choosing FORE's ATM solution for the cores of their networks to provide optimized transport for IP applications, Frame Relay and telephony.
RADVision's H.323 Protocol Stack is a package of several software programs enabling the creation of H.323 multimedia (voice/video/data) calls and collaboration over the network. It allows OEMs or developers to rapidly bring to market interoperable H.323 compliant products eliminating months of software development time and engineering expense. The enhanced version 2.0 release supports H.450 supplementary services and H.235 security. Later phases of the partnership will explore developing advanced interoperability between the two company's products, enabling RADVision to integrate FORE's networking technologies into RADVision's market leading family of internetworking Gateway and VIU (Video Interface Unit) products.
