Good point Loring and I would agree with you that Novell does not have a good grasp or Critical Mass of staff with E-Commerce strength. I would think the solution to this goes in hand with my last posting idea. Novell should acquire or partner with a Startup that has an understanding of how the Novell technology could be used (ie. maybe even an EBay or Buy.Com type portal company). Then create a Novell spinoff entity with the newly acquired compnay and move Novell's Internet initiative staff (like the "Digital Me" team) into this spinoff. Novell should then give this entity the directives and goals to develop E-Commerce and Internet Service portal solutions that can generate revenue in the unique ways that these companies find to make revenue. The additional goal would be to ensure that Novell's NDS is the core to any product/service that this entity creates. Hmmm - what name shall we call this new entity? How bout.... E@Novell E@NDS commerce@nds (Dont put me in a PR roll folks) lol Toy
