Ladies and Gentlemen of the Thread:

I have been somewhat lucky lately in my trading activities and have decided to treat myself to my "dream machine". In my search for information I came across this thread and have been participating (mainly lurking) here for about three weeks.

I did ask a question about multiple monitors and I wish the thank those of you who were very generous with your suggestions and information. This thread is to be congratulated for the congeniality and help provided by, and to its participants.

Now for my question today. While technically trained, I have not kept up with the ins and outs of computers for a couple of years and have been left behind. Can any of you recommend to me books or other information sources for my use to educate myself to the level necessary to understand the better the discussions which occur on
this thread.
