USWEST will not keep their lines up to par for modem users saying the lines are for analog voice communication only. Unless you actualy hear static over the line they will do nothing. Asking them what baud they gaurantee I have been given many answers, 28.8, 2400, 1400, 400, and finally after nothing being done about my terrible line they said they will gaurantee no buad rate over an analog line, and I the average home user should invest in their ISDN line. Even after fighting with them for a year now they still call to offer me USWEST internet service, and when asked what baud guaranteed they said 56k with a 56k modem, hmmmmm sounds like they just want your money!
