ISG Technologies has signed an agreement with Imatron of South San Francisco, California, to supply
the software development tools and post-processing software application for Imatron's Ultrafast CT
scanners.
Imatron will offer ISG's advanced post-processing application, which provides superior image
processing, filming, archiving and DICOM capabilities, under the name UltraImage. Imatron has also
committed to ISG's software as a platform for the development of advanced cardiac applications, for
integration into future products.
Imatron is primarily engaged in designing, manufacturing and marketing high performance computed
tomography (CT) scanners based on the company's proprietary scanning electron beam technology;
Ultrafast CT is a registered trademark of Imatron. More than 70 Imatron Ultrafast CT scanners are now
in use at major medical centres around the world, including The Mayo Clinic, University of Iowa,
National Institute of Health, UCLA, University of Illinois, The Royal Brompton Hospital in London,
Tokyo University Hospital, Beijing Hospital, and other major hospital centres around the world.
Imatron's Ultrafast CT is distributed in the US, Canada, and Europe by Siemens Medical Systems.
Imatron's HeartScan Imaging subsidiary provides coronary artery disease risk assessment diagnostic
services in a network of company owned clinics.
