Face it, Paul--the intro of KNI will be a nonevent. Even Intel figured it out and pulled their Superbowl ads.

It will offer a marginal performance improvement on those few apps that will utilize it, but even this improvement will be smaller (proportionately) than the improvement realized on the K6-2 with 3DNow versus an otherwise-equal K6 without, thanks to the PII's already-robust FPU.

KNI could have been a nice marketing gimmick for Intel (like MMX), but now Intel has spoiled the whole PIII intro with this ID misstep.

So.... I am STILL waiting for you to SHOW ME THE SSE "KILLER APP".
