Wide Area Network Connectivity Products:

The price of high capacity T-1 digital access lines have become more affordable.
More corporate customers are installing T-1 lines to cut phone costs and make
advanced digital services available to their businesses. Franklin Telecom's
D-Mark Series I Digital Channel Bank terminates T-1 access lines at very low
cost. The D-Mark offers extremely high reliability, an elementary user-procedure
and upgradeability.

The Franklin Branch Node is a fully integrated small T-1 packet/circuit
switch/multiplexer with LAN bridge/routing. Designed for small offices, it supports
interconnection of data, voice, image, LAN and video applications through a
high-speed T1 backbone network. This product can be simultaneously used as a
LAN Bridge/Router, a T-1 channel bank and an X.25 PAD/Switch.

Franklin DataCom's Wide Area Network system products are based on personal
computer technology. They combine multiple protocol connectivity and network
control with a new standard of price/performance. The Multi Protocol Switching
PAD connects most host computers and user systems through the international
standard X.25 packet switching protocol. The Network Control Center provides
sophisticated, real-time network management using simple, menu-oriented
operator functions.

Local Area Network Products:

100 Mbps LAN Cards and Hubs:

Network performance has been increasingly limited by the performance of existing
network adapters. Arcnet, Ethernet, and Token ring have become the "bottle-neck"
as computer performance has increased by a factor of 50. Microsoft Windows
and today's powerful Windows, CAD/CAM, computer graphics and multimedia
applications are placing increased demands on network bandwidth.

The T100 was engineered to eliminate this adapter bottle-neck, allowing Windows
and other of these powerful applications to be run effectively on the server. This
prevents redundant software copies from wasting countless megabytes of disk
space throughout the net. The LPL-developed integrated circuit provides a high
degree of integration of these perfomance features. The result is a surprisingly
simple adapter that achieves 100Mbps performance while adhering to existing
industry standards.

155 Mbps LAN Cards and Hubs:

The Franklin Telecom Hurricane/155 is the most advanced LAN Adapter and hub
available today. Franklin now provides LAN users with the fastest network
possible with a complete family of 155Mbps Adapters and hubs. Network Interface
Cards (NIC) cover the full spectrum: ISA, EISA, VESA and PCI. Hubs are available
in 8 port stackables or 22 port rack mount.

Hurricane incorporates far more performance enhancing features than Fast
Ethernet, small packet ATM or FDDI. In Local Area Networks that must integrate
with large files, graphics and video, Hurricane makes possible the creation of
extremely fast LAN systems that will benchmark 2 to 3 times the performance of
competing technologies.

Communications Processor Cards
ISA Bus Products:

The ICP 188C is a programmable high performance data communication
processor board that supports synchronous or asynchronous mode at up to
64Kbps full duplex on each of four ports. It installs in Industry Standard
Architecture PC/AT bus micro computers and functions as a front end processor
for its host system. The ICP 188C is used in a variety of applications including
network system products, terminal emulators, programmable machine tools,
voice response systems, protocol test devices and load generation tools.

The ICP 186 - 4 Ports - is a programmable 16 bit high performance data
communication processor board that supports synchronous or asynchronous
modes at up to 64Kbps full duplex on each of four ports. It installs in any PC bus
Industry Standard Architecture (ISA) computer and functions as a front end
processor to its host microcomputer system.

ICA186: 8 Ports -(7 Async & 1 Sync/Async) RS232 Interface, 512Kb Ram, 80186
16Mhz Processor

The IC2A - 2 Ports - is a programmable high performance data communication
processor board that supports synchronous or asynchronous mode at up to 64
Kbps full duplex on two ports. It installs in Industry Standard Architecture PC/XT
bus micro computers and functions as a front end processor for its host system.
The IC2A is used in a variety of applications including network system products,
terminal emulators, programmable machine tools and load generation tools.

ICT-1/CSU: T1 Interface Card with Channel Service Unit (CSU) Direct connect for
use in the D-Mark Channel Bank and the Franklin Branch Node.

ICT-1/DSX: T1 Interface Card with Digital (DSX) Interface for use in the D-Mark
Channel Bank and the Franklin Branch Node. This product is used where the FCC
approved CSU interface is not required, such as drop and insert to a PBX
System, or connecting multiple D-Mark Channel Banks back to back.

ICC-4: 4 Port Clear Channel Card with DB37 Interface for Circuit Switching
provides 64Kbps clear channels for data communications. When used with an n x
64 CSU/DSU channels can be combined to provide data communications up to
T1 speeds in 64Kpbs increments. This product can be used with the D-Mark
Channel Bank and the Franklin Branch Node.

ICV-4 4 Ports - The Franklin 4 Port Analog Voice Card (formerly ICV-4) is a fully
integrated 4 port card with ringer capability. It supports most analog and digital
communications, including PBX, Modem & FAX through the Franklin Branch Node
and D-Mark Channel Banks.

ICV-8 The Franklin 8 Port Analog Voice Card is similar to the AVC-4. The AVC-8 is
essentially two 4 port cards on a single board designed to preserve precious real
estate while providing software and hardware compatibilty.

MicroChannel Bus Products:

The MCR-6 - 4 Ports - is a programmable high performance data communication
processor board that supports synchronous or asynchronous mode at up to 64
Kbps full duplex on each of four ports. It installs in any of IBM's Micro Channel
Architecture computers, including RS/6000 and PS/2, and functions as a front end
processor to its' host system. The MCR-6 is ideal for applications that require
consistently high throughput on multiple ports.
