Franklin Enters Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
Market
Westlake Village, CA.> Franklin Telecom of Westlake Village, California announced
today today that it has delivered the inaugural shipment of the ICV8. The ICV8, a new
product for the exploding Computer Telephony Integration market, is an Industry
Standard Architecture (ISA) buss Station card with 8 ports.
The design, completed over 12 months ago, has proved itself as a mainstay in the
updated version of the highly successful Franklin D-Mark Channel Bank.
According to Franklin's president and CEO Frank Peters, "Our customers are so happy
with the D-Mark product that we decided to make this MVIP analog Station card available
to CTI and IVR manufacturers and integrators. The pricing structure is ideal for resellers
and OEM's."
Peters continued, "The CTI industry is absolutely flying! It affords us tremendous growth
opportunities. Applications like Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Automatic FAX Back,
Voice Mail and PC Pop Up 'Phone Calls' are spurring this growth. Franklin's entry into
this marketplace dovetails very neatly with additional product development we already
have underway. The ICV8 card is one of the basic building blocks for our FNet Internet
Data Voice Server as well as many systems used to offer these applications."
Franklin's OEM Sales Manager Neil Wyenn says, "The ICV8 is a great solution for
integrators building systems for CTI and IVR applications using the MVIP buss. The
product offers Ringers on each port, loop start and a telco DC/DC power supply. The
SLIC/SLAC functions are built into each port and fit right into applications like Auto
Attendant, Voice Mail, Fax Servers, Intelligent Peripherals, Speech and Voice
Recognition, International Call Back, Call Routing, Audiotex, and more. The ICV8 retails
for $895 per 8 port card, making the cost to an integrator or OEM under $100 per port!"
He continued, "We are currently shipping the product in quantity; we are also accepting
orders for delivery during the next 12 months."
