Why there is a spread of LU and ASND? According the proposed merger deal, each ASND share will exchange for 0.825 share of LU. However, There is a price spread since the news. For example, LU is closed at $111 1/2, which should translate to $91 5/8 for ASND but it is closed at $86 1/4.
