Edwarda, No echoes of Southeast Asia, I'm, afraid. LOL. In Vietnam we supported a quasi-dictator against a full-fledged communist dictator backed by the Soviets. The actual strategic reason we were there was to defend one of the few sources we had (at the time) for chromium. We needed chromium for our aerospace industry, most specifically for our ICBMs. FT
