That sounds like a good move for boxmakers like Compaq. Should netzero cut them in on their add revenue (or do they start it themselves)? If not I think the boxmakers would be loathe to do it because they will cannibalize their existing revenue from purchase tied isp marketing. Perhaps Emachines will be the first to do it in order to reemphasize their image as the low (maybe no cost if component prices continue to plunge! - envision the word of mouth on an 800 number like 1 800 4 free pc) cost leader. I should try to put something like that together - all I'd need is thirty or forty million bucks to get up and running! Check the thread I started about netzero if you like:
