Rich;
Two short stories of interest in today's Science News; one that E.coli can be transferred by fruit flies(meaning contamination can spread from apple to apple for instance)and two that bean sprouts can be tainted with Salmonella. Confirmation of the need to test. In the case of bean sprouts, these sure aren't something you are going to cook, like the luncheon meats that were recalled - These Foods Need To Be Tested.
