Staring at my graph of Japan's money growth, broad liquidity and M2+CD growth has been anemic ever since the bubble burst. On the other hand, money base and M1 have been on an uptrend. Is this what you were referring to?

My interpretation is that BOJ is pumping, but the banks are unable to perform their typical multiplier duty because they're eating up the cash to rebuild their balance sheets. Your thoughts?
