As I've suggested before, I wouldn't make too much of the patents granting ACTV exclusivity for interactive TV. They've patented very specific technical particulars, but that doesn't mean there aren't other technological means to reach virtually the same ends. More important are ACTV's partners and the clout they'll wield in the future. Re news, there'll be news when there's news. It's not news to assert that in two or three weeks (or months) we expect that there'll be news. An event needs to be announced when it happens rather than risk looking foolish by announcing a future that may have to be altered or scratched because of unanticipated occurences. Ultimately we're all better off if ACTV conservatively tends to business and waits for actualities to toot its horn about.
