<Cable collects 80% of the high speed access points.>

I think the WSJ article you pointed out earlier this year stated 30% & wireless gets some as well.

<Bell Atlantic (BEL) owns 42% of the company and recently took over management.>

Good points Neal & its befuddles me as well. Id say steve greens ! today says it all & thanks to the posters.

Local cable company across the river here is looking for a data sales coordinator for "cable modems". Bell Atlantics area there. I drove past a few truck rolls for another cable company on this side of the river this week & thought one of these guys are gonna break a neck they were working so fast :} Gte's area. Also noticed several cable tv linemen wanted ads as well as splicers & subs for different cable companies. I don't see how they could have that much of a demand here though. I think both are private. steve s is starting to make a lot of sense now days. At&t looks pretty smart for now & we will see how the Bells respond. I can't imagine them letting this go. Ameritech downgraded this week. Still have some paper work to do so Ill catch ya

later,

Dug
