Shame on Shaman

There is something really amateurish and inept
about how Shaman has been running its business.
That press release about being "surprised" at
some FDA concerns was completely inept, as if
Shaman wanted to shout from the rooftops, "Oh
my goodness! We weren't prepared for the FDA's
concerns, and now we are a day late and a
dollar short!"

The rest of the release was just as bad, e.g.:

"We are also reviewing our corporate partnering strategy and our expenses. All of these issues must be examined against the backdrop of the continued funding required for other research and commercial opportunities at Shaman, and its subsidiary, Shaman Botanicals."

It makes it sound like they are in a state of panic. Not very
good PR unless that is what they wanted to accomplish. PR is
supposed to be self-serving, not self-defeating.

I believe that with enough time and money, Shaman Botanicals
could generate profits. I just hope they get the chance.

Good luck, all you fellow SHMN stockholders. This is truly
a problem child we have on our hands: brilliant but not very
vigilant or practical.
