I don't own IBM, but I think it has the following factors going for
it.
1. A lot of knowlege within the company (especially its R&D)
2. A strategy of transforming itself to a services/solutions company
3. The emergence of Internet and the ability for it to use its
mainfraimes (JAVA) as large servers
4. A very low PE <10 and a growth
5. 8 billion in cash
But then again all this has nothing to do with the short term fluctuations of the stock price. And all of this may turn out to
be nothing in the long term.
