Very good question. I intend to find out the answer shortly. I do not know what the progress is on developing other markets right now. I know that the generic Labrador is completed which will allow the development of other products in other markets. It is the business plan to develop strategic alliances with specialists in given industries by providing the Labrador software tools. I don't think SSX will be creating their own application products for other markets like they did in the petroleum market, but will rather strike licensing deals as they have with the Petro data Company. the Petro Lab products were a "prototype" and "model" for developing the same for other vertical markets. The recent joint venture deal is also a "model" for future business dealings except that in the future, the business partner will have an active role in developing applications using the Labrador software tools. A powerful way to leverage into many different markets and obtain royalties and licensing feels from all of them. This eliminates the need for much of the back end training and services, which will free Sterne Stackhouse up do do what they seem to do best; develop software and tools. ontopequity.com
