Found this info off of my email accounts from Infobeat. TMCS competition is merging. Online ticket sellers merge Advantix Inc., a live-entertainment ticketing technology/services company and Tickets.com Inc., an online ticket seller, executed a definitive merger agreement. The companies say they will establish the first globally branded company for entertainment, sports and travel tickets. The merged company will be called Tickets.com. "By marrying the best ticketing technology in the world with the leading source for ticket information we are establishing an open ticketing network," said Advantix president W. Thomas Gimple. "The new Tickets.com will become the '411' of entertainment information and tickets." Tickets.com reports it features information on 37,000 venues and over 200,000 events including seating charts, and tour dates. It sells tickets on the Web at tickets.com and through America Online.
