tech2k et al, for what its worth, i sold my msft apr calls today. i think we will see a dip, and i will rebuy at a higher strike. i am putting most of that cash (and the proceeds of my aol calls, which i plan on selling tomorrow) into dell feb90s over the next few days as i expect a dip, followed by a strong run to DELL earnings on Feb 16. I also plan on rebuying MSFT and AOL calls (aprils for MSFT, and feb for AOL) at a higher strike price, as I expect continued movement to the splits in these stocks. I plan to cash out of my growing DELL call positions at or day after DELL reports. Thereafter, I will have my options trading pool almost fully in cash, except perhaps for that MSFT position. I expect a market downturn in the last half of February. I hope it is a sharp one, so I can grab some good bargain call positions on the upside. Greenspan won't say anything substantial, but the market will dip a bit anyway. Another excuse for necessary profit taking in 3-5 day cycles. Take a good look at DELL folks. 29k Feb85s traded. All those INTC and MSFT products got distributed through Austin.
