Your right about the black like substance never having been called wood, so not sure on that. The micro fossil refference is form an old news release about the breccia they found way back when.....
Its all a geological curiosity mind you. Mining is tonnage and grade and when they go underground on these things and mine them no doubt we will learn alot more about them.
The one that always fascinates me what would a kimberlite that errupted beneath a lake be like.Imagine walking along a lake shore and all of a sudden a kimberlite errupts into it.
Interesting late night thought.
