With respect to selling products...
I've held ener for over a decade and only recently had the opportunity (as senior architect and "environmental guru" at a mid-sized LA architecture firm) to directly affect the specification of their United Solar PV products on a project that I am designing (a public library). After culling basic info from the web site, I called Corporate hq and was referred to a local rep in Culver City. I called this office and explained the project, mentioning that our firm would be gathering specifications for two or three systems for submittal to the client (a public agency) and that we would like to have them come to our office to review our modest application ($100,000 scope for the pv) and make a presentation. They never called back. Their local competitor did come by and made a compelling presentation to those in attendance as to the inferiority of amorphous pv technology and the the general disadvantages of working with United Solar products. ECD and their Culver City rep were pointedly criticized in the vendor's presentation. The specification written for this project is recommending the installation of Siemens polycrystalline cell panels. It is likely that United Solar will not be considered for future projects by my firm. As a shareholder, my hope is that they have so much business that serving new clients is a low priority.

Has anyone here directly had a successful experience with United Solar pv panels that they could recount? Are ECD's other products similarly represented?
