Kalish...

FWIW, I found the following this A.M. on the Microsoft site.

>>Mr. Scarlata said he views the big drop in IBM shares as a strong signal that the stock market is headed for steep losses. On Tuesday, Big Blue's stock jumped 3 5/8 and seemed ready to stage a rebound from the sharp losses it suffered in the aftermath of its earnings report last week. Its sudden, violent reversal on Wednesday shows investors are nervous.

Over the next two months, Mr. Scarlata said he believes the market will fall into a slump akin to its roughly 20% plunge of last summer. "The Internet stocks are going to evaporate. The Internet stocks in this move are going to lose at least 50%. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them lose 70% in the next eight weeks," he said.<<
