I do find one thing puzzling... the fact that the spread is widening. Generally when there is volume generated, the spread tightens. The MM'm decrease the spread when there is high volume because they make enough on the gross number of shares traded, and vice versa. My wonderment is why are they increasing the spread when the volume continues to rise? Yes, I know they prefer cheaper shares, but... they're churning quite the number so why slow things down?
